Letters, post cards, newspaper clippings, and telegrams recieved by the Hood River American Legion Post 22 in response to them removing the names of 16 Japanese American soldiers from the Hood River Honor Wall in November of 1944. Approximately 2/3rds of letters supported the Nisei soldiers while the remaining 1/3 supported the actions of the American Legion. |
