163 pages of photocopied documents obtained via the Freedom of Information Act request in November of 2016. The documents are mostly from the Department of Justice and the FBI. -------------------- Photocopy of a declassified report on Keizaburo Koyama. A bench warrant was issued for Koyama for disregarding a signal, but no disposition was noted. The Multnomah County Jail files did not show any information on Koyama. A report from the Credit Reporting Company, Panama Building, showed that Koyama had been sued twice for slow and non-payments. The FBI report also notes that Koyama paid $5 dues in 1940 and 1941 to the Japanese Association of Portland, above the usual fee of $3. This report concluded that the Japanese Association of Oregon, which included the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, was "dominated" by issei and that many of its activities indicated sympathies towards Japan. The report states that the programs of these groups "exercised a definite retarding effect on the Americanization of second generation Japanese" as the organization officers were "very pro-Japanese." |
