The documents are mostly from the Department of Justice and the FBI. -------------------- Photocopy of a declassified handwritten letter from Miriam Koyama, daughter of Teru and Keizaburo Koyama, to Edward J. Ennis, Director Enemy Alien Control Unit. Miriam writes about her family and how much she misses her father. She mentions that she spent her 9th birthday in the Portland Assembly Center and her 10th at Minidoka. Due to her father's internment, she missed spending the last Christmas and Father's Day with him. She adds that she is a proud American and prays that she does not miss another holiday with her father. Due to her mother's declining health, she asks that her father can be returned soon. |
